Hit the trails- for your health! Being active in nature has been scientifically proven to improve mental, physical, and social health. The first Saturday of every month, WLT leads a health-conscious hike at Dr. John Champlin Glacier Park Trail (Kettle Close Trailhead) as part of the Park Rx Program. Healthy Hikes are open to everyone– no prescription required! To learn more about the Park Rx Program, visit www.parkrx.org.
This hike is part of the state-wide initiative encouraging families to explore nature- the RI Great Outdoors Pursuit. Participants will receive a sticker for their passports. To sign up for 2017 Rhode Island Great Outdoors Pursuit and receive your passport, visit: www.riparks.com/RIOutdoorsPursuit.
