Invasive Plant Pull

November 18 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Volunteer for invasive plant management!

Invasive plants spread quickly and aggressively. They lack natural predators that would keep them in check in their native land so we are calling on volunteers to help us hand pull, cut, and dig up these unwanted plants.

WILDWOOD

Meet at the trailhead at 38 Forrestal Drive

What are the impacts of invasive plant species?

  • Invasive species compete directly with native species for moisture, sunlight, nutrients, and space.
  • Establishment and spread of invasive species can degrade wildlife habitat and lead to decreased biodiversity
  • Invasive species have contributed to the decline of 42% of U.S. endangered and threatened species.
  • They can be harmful to wildlife

 What can we do?

  • Use native plants in your landscape
  • Participate in invasive plant management projects!

Coffee and refreshments will be provided!

Please bring your own water bottle, thick work gloves, and garden shears.
