Hike and Farm Tour at Barlow Nature Preserve

We hope you’ll join us Thursday April 8 for a hike and special tour of Barlow Nature Preserve farm!
Barlow Nature Preserve is a Westerly Land Trust property at the corner of Dunns Corner Road and Westerly Bradford Road. This is an 80 acre preserve with a small pasture and moderate to easy wood trails. Hike will be at 10am. 449 Westerly Bradford Road, Westerly, RI
After the hike at 11am, you can visit the farm at the Barlow Nature Preserve to tour the three individual and unique agricultural operations: Frontier Farm (produce), Echo Rock Flowers (cut flowers) and Vita Nova Compost (vermicomposting). Come and meet the farmers and explore the vital intersection between land conservation and local agriculture. Parking available in the lot at Barlow Nature Preserve, 449 Westerly-Bradford Road. Thursday hikes are typically between 1 ½ to 3 hours and are open to all ages with our target group being agile seniors. Please keep in mind that these are wooded trails with stumps, roots and rocks so be sure to wear hiking boots or good walking shoes. Make sure you bring water and maybe a snack. Be aware that our hikes leave promptly so be on time!
