THIS HIKE: Hodge Pond South Loop Trail, Voluntown, CT
Approximately 4 miles and this may be a new walk for many of you. You will see the stone
foundation of A. Kinne’s homestead and some very impressive rock formations. Directions: from Westerly travel on Rte 49 North (Pendleton Hill Road) until you come to State Forest Road/Fish Road on the right @ a SHARP curve (there is a small post on the right that reads “Green Falls Entrance” and on the far side a post that says Fish Road and a horse farm on the left). You will take your next left onto Hodge Road for about ¾ of a mile crossing over Myron Kinney Brook. Park on the left after seeing the old saw mill stone dam.
