K-Grade 4: 9am-10:30am
Grades 5-8 11am-12:30pm
This year has been especially hard on our youth, suddenly missing out on science lessons and spending more time on computer screens. We created Living Laboratories as a counterbalance. Each 90-minute session includes immersive guided hikes and activities in an outdoor classroom setting, designed to teach students environmental science topics through student-led exploratory learning. We are pleased to continue this free program in summer of 2021 and invite your K-8 students to join the fun!
Your students will learn about:
Ecology, food webs, pollinators, small scale agriculture, energy transfer, animal structure and function, biology, water chemistry, geology, human impact on the environment and more!
