THIS HIKE: King/Benson Preserve Trail, North Kingstown
This is a trail (3.2 mile) on Nature Conservancy property in North Kingstown (2203 Boston Neck Rd). The site of a former Girl Scout camp, the 161-acre property has hiking trails, a small beach by Narrow River, a grove of tall spruce trees, a small waterfall and more. The parking lot is small so I suggest carpooling. Carpooling from Westerly Walmart (the area closest to Rte 1), leaving at 9AM. Take Rte. 1 North to Rte. 138 East, get off first exit (Rte. 1A), turn right off end of ramp (same exit as for Rome Point). Parking lot will be on your right.
