Thursday Paddle: Barn Island (CT)
Thursday August 29th @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Please join us for our free, guide kayak/canoe paddles on Thursdays. We will pass various local conservation lands, including some of our own Westerly Land Trust preserves. The paddle times will vary between 1.5 and 3 hours. Bring your own kayak/canoe, paddle, life jacket, whistle, water, snacks, etc. Some of us will go swimming. Be aware that our trips leave promptly so be on time! We will meet at put in points and carpool to takeout sites unless stated otherwise.

PFD’s: Personal flotation devices or Life Jackets MUST be worn by all our paddlers properly zipped and/or buckled at all times while on the water, in the manner intended by the manufacturer. Inflatable PFD’s are not allowed.
Sound signal (whistle, horn, etc. ) is required

THIS PADDLE TRIP: Barn Island: No vehicle shuttle. Depending upon the wind direction we will determine if we head towards Westerly or Stonington. Meet at the boat launch. Take US 1 West from Pawcatuck for 2.5 miles to the traffic signal at Wequetequock Cove. Turn left on Greenhaven Road, then immediately right, on Palmer Neck Road. Follow Palmer Neck to the parking lot to the boat ramp.
