SUMMARY:Thursday Hike: 30 Great Swamp\, Kingston
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our free guided trail walks on Thursdays. All walks begin at 10:00 AM unless stated to the contrary. We will visit various local conservation properties\, including some of our Westerly Land Trust preserves.  Walks are between 1 ½ to 3 hours and are open to all ages with our target group being agile seniors. Please keep in mind that these are wooded trails with stumps\, roots and rocks so be sure to wear hiking boots or good walking shoes. Also\, you’ll want to bring water and maybe a snack. \nThis hike: \nThe hiking area is on a peninsula of high ground rising 80 feet above Worden Pond and\nthe surrounding swamp. Most of the trails are gravel roads. The footing is solid\, and\nthe slopes are gentle. \nDirections: From Westerly: US-1 S; take exit for RI-110 N\, turn\nright onto RI-110 N; turn left onto RI-138 W; turn left onto Liberty Lane which\nbecomes Great Neck Road; once you turn onto Liberty Lane you go 2 miles\, Liberty Lane\nturns into Great Swamp Road\, go past the Great Swamp Management headquarters\, to the\nparking area at the dead end.
