SUMMARY:Thursday Hike: Burlingame Campground & Kimball Wildlife Refuge
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our free-guided trail walks on Thursdays.  Walks are open to all ages with our target group being agile seniors.  Please keep in mind that these are wooded trails with stumps\, roots and rocks so be sure to wear hiking boots or good walking shoes. If the weather is icy you should bring stabilizers or something for traction. If a lot of snow bring snowshoes. Be aware that our hikes leave promptly so be on time! \nThe trail\, including Kettle Pond\, the Kimball Bird Sanctuary and portions of Burlingame State Park\, will range between 2 and 4 miles depending on the weather. It has a few short\, steep pitches\, otherwise flat. Meet at Kettle Pond Visitor Center\, US Fish & Wildlife Service\, 50 Bend Road\, Charlestown. \nTo sign up please contact leader: Tom Godbout\, (401) 871-2452 (c)\, email: trga678@outlook.com \n*****************************************************************************************\nDue to the COVID:\n• We realize lots of people have concerns about getting together. Therefore\, please sign up\nwith leader so that person will know how many are coming. Keep in mind some folks may be uncomfortable having\nsomeone share their vehicle.
