Farm Dinner 2020 is SOLD OUT! Thank you all for your support!

When we were faced with reimagining the Farm Dinner, we never predicted how our Westerly Land Trust community would rally to support us. It is humbling to announce that this is the fastest this event has ever sold out, signaling that despite the uncertainty of 2020 (or maybe because of it), our community truly values our mission and conservation efforts.

If you have any questions regarding your existing reservation, please contact Erika at 401-315-2610 or [email protected]

This year is the 10th anniversary of the Westerly Land Trust Farm Dinner, and while we would love nothing more than to gather with you, our friends, and dine al fresco, we have found a way to bring the Farm Dinner to you!

Presenting the 2020 Farm Dinner Reimagined!

On August 29th, you and your party of 2, 4, or 8 will gather in the comfort and safety of your own home or garden. We’ll start with a virtual welcome, where you’ll be able to connect via video conference as we toast the farmers who grow our food, the chefs who prepare it, and the land that makes it possible.

As a special feature, our 2020 Farm Dinner guests will be the very first to view a beautiful short film highlighting WLT’s role in land conservation and local agriculture, with an emphasis on the farmers who steward our land. For an exciting sneak preview, please click here.

Your dinner, which includes multiple courses, bread, flowers, dessert and wine, will be delivered straight to your door anywhere in the Westerly area. We will have a pickup option available if you live outside of town or want to enjoy your Farm Dinner at a picnic site.

Sit back and enjoy your local feast. Share pictures with us of your Farm Dinner table. We only regret we won’t be able to help you do the dishes.

The Farm Dinner is the Westerly Land Trust’s largest annual fundraiser, and while the event itself will be anything but traditional, we hope we can preserve the spirit of the Farm Dinner. In good years, farmers are often willing to donate their products in exchange for a seat at our community table, but this year, recognizing that many have been economically impacted, we will purchase our ingredients. In effect, your reservation not only benefits the Land Trust, but will reach even further into the community, supporting our local food heroes.

If you cannot attend, or even if you can, perhaps you will consider sending a dinner as a Thank You to someone you’ve valued this year. 2020 feels like a good year to express gratitude. Maybe you’d like to thank an essential worker or your child’s schoolteacher or simply share a meal with someone who would really appreciate it.

As we are all too aware, 2020 is just not a normal year. But we at WLT are choosing to focus on the silver linings. People are recognizing the value of land conservation, local agriculture and community connectivity. Your reservation at this somewhat unconventional “table” signals just that.

Thank you for embarking upon this adventure with us, a Farm Dinner that is sure to be remembered!
