The farm stand at Barlow Nature Preserve is now open!
Here are some details about the 2024 farm stand season:
- Operated byย the two farms on this property: Frontier Farm and Echo Rock Flowers. As the season progresses, you’re likely to find products from other favorite local farms.
- Hours of Operation: Open 3-6pm, Thursdays & Fridays (Closed July 4th)
- Location: Barlow Nature Preserve at 449 Westerly Bradford Road, Westerly, RI
- Accepted payments include cash, credit/debit cards, SNAP/EBT, custom CSA cards, RI WIC FMNP, and RI Seniors FMNP.
For many reasons, small scale farmers are some of the best conservationists. They are truly in touch with nature: they know the weather, they know the soil, they are well versed in all the elements that make their crops flourish.

Some highlights from our first week of Farm Squad๐งโ๐พ
WPS Elementary Students will help maintain a vegetable and pollinator garden throughout the summer to explore topics such as soil health, water quality, biodiversity, pollination, and more. ๐
Many of the students have never had some of the crops that are growing in the garden like peas, zucchini, nasturtium, tomatoes, so we are excited for them to try new things! ๐ฅ
