Dr. Lewis Pond Preserve is 9.9 acres in size and is made up of three parcels. These parcels include glacially carved terrain and sections of Dr. Lewis Pond. There is a forested lateral moraine with wild blueberry and mountain laurel dropping sharply to an Atlantic White Cedar swamp. The Preserve includes 1/3 of Dr. Lewis Pond, a large and deep glacier kettle pond. All three parcels were acquired as gifts from multiple donors between 1999 and 2010.
Trails: This preserve as a short trail located at the southeast corner of the road. The trail loops back to the road after passing by the pond’s edge. Please visit the WLT trails app for trail maps and directions and park on Links Passage, near the trail head.
