Part research symposium, part happy hour, part honey tasting… how could this not be fun?

Get to know the students and faculty that makeup Providence College’s Pollinator Lab. Led by Dr. Rachael Bonoan, the Pollinator Lab does fascinating research on local pollinator biodiversity, population trends, resiliency, and more. Dr. B and each of her students will present their latest research projects, field questions, and share the newest pollinator science. You will learn about both what we know and don’t know about our pollinator species, the problems threatening them, and some potential solutions!

The Pollinator Lab has been an excellent partner to WLT, helping build our understanding of insect biodiversity on our properties, educate the public and inspire our youth. Check out ABC’s coverage of this past summer’s Pollinator Safari! We are excited to once again be teaming up for this fun event!

So join us at Barlow Nature Preserve. Parking is available in the main parking lot, with overflow parking in the field behind the outbuildings to the east (up the farm road).

To learn more about the Providence College Pollinator Lab, be sure to check out their website, providencepollinators.com. And don’t miss this awesome bumblebee identification guide and photo collection of pollinators found on WLT preserves, both made by Dr. Bonoan’s Lab in collaboration with WLT!
