Homeschool Adventures- Spring 2025
The Westerly Land Trust is proud to partner with our community to offer enriching, outdoor opportunities for our local, homeschooled, K-8th graders! Here on WLT preserves, your students will explore, get their hands dirty, experience nature, and have fun with their friends, all while learning directly from the land. Grades 5-8 will dive deeper into topics and use more advanced technology. Read on for more information about these no-cost programs coming this fall:
Program 1-Pollinators & Planting: Dig your hands in the soil and discover proper planting and care techniques for a thriving garden at Barlow Nature Preserve. Bonus: Take home your own seedling to nurture!
Program 2- Wildlife & Watersheds: From pond to trails, put your observation skills to the test and use technology to discover the fascinating creatures that call Wahaneeta Preserve home.
