Clean-Up Crews and Brews
Monday April 19th @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
In celebration of Earth Day, join the Westerly Land Trust to pick up trash on urban and conservation properties, and then gather to enjoy a tasty brew at Grey Sail Brewing Company.
The Westerly Land Trust is partnering with like-minded conservation organizations including the South Kingstown Land Trust, Charlestown Land Trust, Narrow River Land Trust, Hopkinton Land Trust, Weekapaug Foundation for Conservation, East Beach Association, and The Watch Hill Conservancy to bring attention to South County’s litter problem with each organization planning its own local Earth Day-inspired trash-pick up.
The Westerly Land Trust’s Clean-Up Crews and Brews will start at the Community Garden at 145 Main Street at 5:30pm, and teams will be assigned to different WLT properties. Grey Sail Brewing Company has graciously offered to host all WLT Clean-Up Crews for a post-clean up brew. The brewery is closed to the public on Mondays, so our crews will have space to gather safely outdoors in small groups. This is a family friendly event, and snacks and non alcoholic beverages will be available.
Registration is required for this event. For more information or to sign up, please contact Joseph Barnes at firstname.lastname@example.org. All organizations will be encouraging participants to post on social media with #SouthCountyCleanUp.
